What we collect when you join the waiting list, why, who helps us handle it, and how to have it removed.
Who we are
Prop Firm Prestige ("we", "us") runs propfirmprestige.com and is responsible for the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email hello@propfirmprestige.com.
What we collect
- Traders, joining with an email alone: the email address you give us. We also store the part before the @ as a placeholder name.
- Traders, completing the profile at /join: your name and email, the country and language you trade in, a postal address if you give one, your date of birth, your shirt size, and the preferences the questions ask about, which trading sessions you keep, the instruments and firms you favour, what matters to you in a challenge, plus a hobby, a snack and a colour. You choose how much of this to answer; the address and date of birth are there so we can send you something and mark your birthday, and nothing is required to stay on the list.
- How far you got: if you start the profile and stop, we keep the answers you gave and the question you reached, so you can pick it up later and so we can send you one reminder.
- Prop firms: your firm's website and the work email you give us, and anything you later send us during verification.
- Delivery records: whether our emails reached you, bounced or were marked as spam, as reported by our email provider. We do not track whether you open our emails or click their links.
- Technical data: your IP address is used briefly to stop automated or repeated sign-ups. It is held in memory for up to an hour and is never written to our database. Our hosting and network providers keep standard server logs for security.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not buy or receive data about you from anyone else.
Why we use it
- To keep your place on the waiting list and email you about the launch, new firm announcements and platform updates. We rely on your consent, which you give by joining and can withdraw at any time.
- To send one reminder if you start the profile and do not finish it, so your answers are not wasted. We rely on your consent, and one reminder is the most anyone receives.
- To shape what you see once the platform opens, and to send you something or mark your birthday if you gave us those details. We rely on your consent, which you give by answering those questions and can withdraw at any time.
- To review a firm's application, arrange an introductory call and carry out verification. This is a step you ask us to take before any agreement between us.
- To check that an email address or website is real and to stop abuse of the sign-up form. This is our legitimate interest in an accurate list and a secure site.
- To keep records the law requires us to keep.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the providers that run the service for us, under contracts that limit them to our instructions:
- Render hosts the website and its database, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Cloudflare runs our domain, network delivery and security.
- Resend sends our emails.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
Waiting-list details are kept while the waiting list runs and, once the platform launches, for as long as you stay subscribed. If you ask to be removed, we delete your details within 30 days, keeping only what we need to make sure we do not email you again. Firm applications are kept for as long as we work with the firm and for up to two years after that ends.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send it to you in a portable format;
- stop using it on the basis of your consent, at any time. This does not affect what we did before.
To unsubscribe, reply "unsubscribe" to any email from us. For anything else, email hello@propfirmprestige.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, our admin area requires two-factor sign-in, and only the people who need to see sign-ups can.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you by email if the change is significant.
